In 2010, Shetland hosted a ‘Hamefarin’ (homecoming), welcoming Shetlanders from all around the world back to their home islands.
Hamefarin organiser Douglas Irvine was delighted to speak on ABC Radio with Christopher Lawrence on his Evening show.
Christopher Lawrence, who's descendants emigrated from Shetland to Australia, featured the Shetland Hamefarin on his show as part of a feature on reunions.
